A man of style: Corneliani collection F/W 2016/2017
After the opening night of Milan Fashion Week for menswear Autumn/Winter 2016/2017, they took away the days full of fashion shows and events in the heart of the city of Milan.
Unmissable the designer of Mantova, with the style that has always distinguished his brand.
The fashion of the 1940’s is the starting point of the new collection Sergio Corneliani for next winter, revitalized and interpreted with the look and language of contemporary man.
A style that never gives up the elegance and the quality of the details, but able to cope with needs for versatility to face the pace of modern life. A man with a retro feel, but with class and personality.
He wear jackets and trousers with an high center of gravity, wide shoulders, waists and lapels are well definite.
The stiff feel of post-Second-World-War fashion is perceived in the rigidity of the silhouette, with a whisper of nostalgia.
Fabrics’ choice is careful, exquisite and refined: cashmere for the coats and nylon trenches, bomber jackets with astrakhan touches, crocheted details on the waistcoats, herringbones so subtle they look like pinstripes.
Mono or double-breasted jackets, in colors of peacock green and lead gray.
Regarding the suits, the colors are typical of the ’40s: caramel, bark brown and tobacco.
