A Prince is the CORNELIANI man for f/w 2015-16
Free, determined, aware of himself: a man-prince for fall / winter 2015 Sergio Corneliani, presented to Milan fashion week.
A man who likes change and dares with eccentric touches, to reshape classical forms: examples are overcoats finished with large knitted shawl collar or a fur biker jacket.
The prince with a kaleidoscopic and sophisticated identity, in step with modern times, reflecting the surrounding world.
A style which blends sporty elegance and classicism, representative of a contaminated reality by styles and movement’s freedom, but which controls the chaos of nature.
Fabrics’ nobility is very fine, from knotted wool with a three-dimensional or carded finished, mink punched with textures of precious yarns and cashmere garments enriched with leather inserts.
Many outerwear: long double-breasted coats or mono, parkas and jackets embellished with fur trimming or peak lapels.
The classic tie gives way to small neck scarves which define an image luxurious but above all free from constraints.
The jacket has flowing lines, dropped shoulders and comfortable size of sleeves. Pants with piences are soft cutted over the hips, sliding to the ankles in a drainpipe design.
Sweaters reveal a love for graphic designs, a world of blurred signs, slightly distorted and irregular, where plant motifs bloom.
Color palette is dominated by blue, typical of a versatile elegance, interrupted by the green of nature, with flashes of purple and gray, in its nuances. The ever-present black and white, blurred or monochrome.
Shoes capture the synthesis of Corneliani mood: a merging of modernity and classicism, combining traditional forms with thick soles, to increase contact with reality, like a deeply-rooted tree, a symbol of strength and stability, representative of the values of the Mantova maison, which never renounce to the tailoring, opening to a contemporary world, more and more in need of the nature’s freedom.
Thus a new elegance, modern and refined, is coming: the CORNELIANI elegance.
