BEAUTY TALK: Backstage at Aigner S/S 2016 Fashion Show
Antonio Marras, with I’m Isola Marras Spring Summer 2016 collection, is not the only one who took inspiration from the Under the sea theme. Aigner also, for the next Spring Summer season, bring us into the underwater world among charming mermaids.
This collection plays with the most weightless fabrics, a lot of transparency and shimmering, metallic details. This Aigner woman is a very feminine and elegant mermaid. So, the beauty look follows this inspiration. The makeup is by Maybelline Global Makeup Artist Yadim Carranza.
The main focus of this look is the eye, where he used turquoise and aqua shades. The Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour Eye Shadow in Turquoise colour is the perfect product for this look, since it is totally waterproof and you can blend it easily without any risk of patches, even with your fingers.
The base makeup follows this season trend: it’s all about fresh, natural and luminous complexion. So, it has been chosen a dewy finish in order to recall the skin’s wet-look, thanks to brand new Maybelline Dream Satin Fluide Foundation. This foundation provides enough coverage still remaining really natural, luminous and lightweight. An essential step is highlighter for that strobing effect: the highlighted focuses are cheekbones, around the eyes up to the temples, the bridge of the nose and Cupid’s bow.
The hair styling is by Franco Curletto who thought about a contemporary, urban chic mermaid. The hair’s texture is of great importance: there is a lot of attention paid to the hair’s consistency which is very sophisticated, so the result is a rich, thick texture, thanks to all the new-generation products. The making of this hairstyle is really complex because there are three different levels: roots, lengths and finish. An elaborate construction that ends up being invisible at the final look, that is a natural volume, amplified by that ‘beach hair’ look thanks to a sea salt based product.
