BEAUTY TALK: backstage at John Richmond S/S 2016 Fashion show
There is a thing that we learned during this Milan Fashion Week: when it comes to makeup, there are no rules. Being more specific, the interviewed makeup artists gave us this advice: the only thing that matter, in the beauty world, is to play and experiment as much as you wish, without any constraints nor impositions by someone else.
This is the message that Agata Peyrotaldo wants to transmit with her beauty look for Aldo Coppola at John Richmond S/S 2016 fashion show. She wants to say: play with your makeup, be ironic without being too obsessed by it.
The makeup look which has been chosen for this show is really magnificent, but easy to do at the same time.
However it is very peculiar, since it plays with counterposed textures and totally different effects. The lips follow the latest matte trend with a velvety finish, while the eyes shine brightly. Which is the perfect lipstick for this wa wa woom red with a retro finish? An iconic Chanel one, indeed. These colours are a classic but they are a kind of bold, if you take in account that we often see a no-makeup look on catwalks. So you can see red lips paired with a galore of silver glitters all around the eyes.
The look’s mood is totally ironic. The advice is to daring with your makeup because, it will be washed away at the end of the night-out so you haven’t to be afraid of it.
Obviously Aldo Coppola made also the hair styling. As trending right now, hair are left really natural and soft. There is no excess of hair straightener, but a natural straight hair with a bit of volume in order to give more life to the hair. To complete the hair style: a super-classic centre parting, which is always remarkable for its being simple and essential.
