“Color Prints”, Agatha Ruiz De La Prada collection 2015
Agatha Ruiz De La Prada, originally a painter, but in 1980, at the age of 21, she joined the fashion world and from then on her happiness and optimism keep catwalks.
Facing life with optimism and spreading it all around us, that is the real philosophy of the Spanish fashion designer.
Her creations are a mixture of love of life and desire of being kids again, but without forgetting important values and ideals.
The collection fall/winter 2015, showed at the Madrid Fashion Week, confirms her love for colors, with contrasts between colder and warmer shades, and we find again the iconic Agatha Ruiz De La Prada fantasies, like hearts, pois and hexagon honeycombs.
Silhouettes are made of contrast as well: from oversized items to tight leggings, shorts and pencil skirt or pleated skirts, knee-length, and cigarette pants.
Materials are absolutely faithful to the designer’s ecological mind: cotton, linen, knitted patterned wool in jacquard for coats and jackets, lurex and velvet.
A 100% De La Prada collection, amusing and modern, that after having won Madrid’s Fashion Week, it’s ready to be presented in SriLanka and Peru.
