DSQUARED2 build the #STUD2IO for the men’s collection Spring Summer 2015
We are in a New York loft, an artist is working on his last artwork, around him assistants and guests are agog to see next masterpiece.
There is a creativeness atmosphere, all ideas and emotions are transferred on the garments, creating the new DSQUARED2 men collection for Spring/Summer 2015.
Pop art, its major American figures and the colorful world from the 60’s and 80’s, have inspired the Canadian twins.
Iconic prints, sketches and graffiti have been reinterpreted, proposing a new “boxy” silhouette.
Monkeys, cats and little monsters are appliqued onto roomy sweatshirts, shirts, T-shirt and denim jackets.
The sportswear from the 80’s is predominant style: eye-catching motifs and crispy cuts, give this cool character to the outfits.
Innovative fabrics, soft and pleasant to the touch: gym suits made with black leather, shorts and hooded sweatshirts, made with terry cloth, and embellished by monster patches.
Bright parkas, shorts with fluorescent fantasies. Graphic effects, mainly in red and blue, on pants, shirts and trench.
Ankle-length denims, worn-out on the knee. Big brooches adorn the shirts, made of stretch fabric, with pop prints and fluoro inserts.
The accessories’ range is extensive: sneakers with thick soles and big frames for mirrored sunglasses.
The bags are large, full of pockets and compartments, oversized backpacks, colored and decorated with big pockets. Soft duffle bags, for the globetrotter artist thought up by the fashion designers, Dean and Dan Caten, interviewed by our ModeyesTV’s troupe.
