The restlessness age for the Frankie Morello woman
Mysterious and troubled girls, in search of an identity that was not the one imposed by the old respectable culture: they were the girls of “Virgin Suicides” of Sophia Coppola’s film in 1999.
These girls, pervaded by feeling of anxiety and despair, inspired Maurizio Modica and Pierfrancesco Gigliotti .
The new Frankie Morello collection for Fall/Winter 2015 is dedicated to a woman with a restless character, involved in a daily journey with an unknow destination : the attainment of soul’s balance.
Outfits with a mix of fabrics and contrasting colors. The apparently chastened style opposes the will to fight cultural brakes.
College uniforms modernized by imperceptible slits, min-dresses and billowing and transparent garments, show a renewed and fresh sensuality.
Skirts embellished by Swarovski crystals, in shades of gray pink or light blue, always matched in contrast.
Light fabrics predominate, silk or organza or crepe de chine, which give a sense of freedom and movement to dresses.
The blouse is the “must haves” garment of the collection, flexible and versatile, which you can use as undergarment or dress.
Special and denotative prints, it seems to evoke the sketches of a secret diary: faces, mouths, eyes and flowers.
The all-over print of the number 22 is the most significant, it’s the brand’s talisman, which mutates and it resembles two barely touching swans.
Book-shaped cloutch is the fundamental accessory needed for this long travel.
